When Civil Liberties Go Too Far...

This is unacceptable...I don't care what your political, social, moral, or personal beliefs are treating a memorial such as this, in this manner, is absolutely unacceptable:

Happy Birthday America...

So despite the fact that I am a firm believer that we should celebrate/observe the birth of America on either July 2nd, the actual day that the Declaration of Independence was passed or on August 2nd, the day it was signed...I am willing to accept that tradition stipulates that we celebrate the birth of America on July 4th, the day of the first public reading of the document on the streets of Philadelphia. And since today is the 4th of July let me be one of the first to say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, America!!!

Let us not forget to take a moment to remember all the men and women who have gone before us and continue to serve this great nation in our Armed Forces...Remember:

For those who fought for it,
Freedom has a flavor
the protected will never know.
